WE'RE PREGNANT!

Here's what has happened the last week or so.

Saturday the 17th was the day to do the at home pregnancy test, after the insemination on the 5th of April. At the time we looked at it, we each saw something different. Bobby-Jo was certain it was negative. I thought I saw a faint line, but didn't pursue it, why waste another test. So the next few days we were waiting for her cycle to start and nothing happened. We started to get nervous: what is wrong with her system, why didn't it start etc etc.

On Wednesday we decided to go ahead and test again. We had two tests ready, one to test, and one to verify. The first test showed positive in mere moments. So when the second one confirmed, we felt pretty sure it was so. We scheduled a blood test for Friday, April 23rd at Dr. Jaffe's office.

She drew the blood at 9 am, by 1 pm our nurse, Lauren, called to confirm it to be true! The hCG levels in Bobby-Jo's blood were a 780 today. We test again on Sunday to make sure the levels are going up. From what I have read, her hCG levels need to double every 24 hours. As long as the levels go up, we are good.

Next, we'll do a gestational ultrasound with Dr. Jaffe. If she sees what she expects to see, then we'll be finished with CRM, Dr. Jaffe, and all of the wonderful people we've come in contact with there.
